Michelle grew up the oldest of five kids. Dinner was more a place to exchange daily stories, argue over opinions, and of course fight for mom’s spicy home cookin. "My parents would bring total strangers home to eat with us and sometimes they would stay a while. It was not unusual to see what I call oddlings in my home. They ususally didn't smell so great, look acceptable, or act just right. My parents gave us a tremendous gift of learning to love people and serve them. I saw people's lives transformed time and time again. They truly gave us a gift when they demonstrated the gift of hospitality and being life givers." Michelle desired to recreate the same warm home environment for her four children and actually schedules sit down meal times due to their never ending teenage schedules and of course makes it a point to have guests join them.
