Sticky Buns

Another family favorite - ALWAYS asked for on Thanksgiving and Christmas morning!

4 rolls of refrigerator biscuits
2 8oz packages of cream cheese
1 cup margarine or butter
1 cup (plus more) brown sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecan (optional)

Flatten individual biscuits in the palm of your hand to about 3-4 inches in diameter. Place about 2 tsp of cream cheese in the middle, and bring edges of biscuit up over cream cheese, pinching together to seal. Top will look kind of like a flower. Do this with all biscuits and set aside.

Over low to medium low heat, melt butter and the cup of brown sugar. Stir frequently, adding enough extra brown sugar so that butter and sugar are completely combined and smooth. The amount of extra sugar varies depending on humidity, whether you use butter or margarine, etc. (Really, it does!)

Pour butter/sugar mixture into 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with nuts if desired. Arrange biscuits, 'flower' side down, in rows of 5 across. You will have 8 rows.

Bake at 350 about 20-25 minutes, until biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.

Place serving platter over top of baking dish, and invert rolls onto serving platter. BE CAREFUL!!! The hot sugar mixture will splatter you if you aren't careful. And it will burn you!

Serve immediately. Store leftovers in frig.
